Product Description

The Tuba Harness conforms to the shape of your body and evenly disperses the weight of the instrument while absorbing the shock of your movements. The neoprene pad forms a comfortable and stable yoke across the top of the back and shoulders. The cushion stays just where you need it most - no matter the amount of moving and grooving you make while playing. The self-adjusting harness freely glides through the hardware located in the back which increases your mobility without sacrificing comfort. The Neotech Tuba Harness is designed with both men and women in mind to arrive at the most comfortable fit.

The unique attachment system offers two connection options to fit most types of tubas. One system offers a “cradle” for the lower section of the instrument made of a unique wrap support. It is covered in a nonmarring material to protect against abrasion to the tuba’s finish. This option is ideal for tubas that do not have an attachment eyelet located on the lower section of the tuba. The second option offers loop connectors that can be attached directly to the eyelet located on the lower section of some tubas. These loops then attach to the snap hooks on the main body of the Neotech Tuba Harness. The harness also offers an upper support strap for added stability. This strap can be connected to either the right or left side of the harness depending on the player’s preference. Experience the innovation of Neotech’s Tuba Harness. It’s ready to carry the load!

Available in Regular and X-Long sizes, plus the Junior size which is great for younger players and for adults playing the Baritone or Euphonium!

How to Attach a Tuba Harness to your Instrument

  1. A. The cradle attachment is adjustable to accommodate different diameter bottom tubes and has four different slots to adjust the cradle width.

  2. B. The loop connectors can be attached directly to the eyelet located on the lower section of some tubas. These loops then attach to the snap hooks on the main body of the Tuba Harness.

The upper strap is for security purposes only and can be attached to either side of the harness.

Questions & Answers

Question:
Can the Tuba Harness utility loops be ordered separately, like maybe in pairs like the Neo-Loops? I prefer using the tuba utility loops to attach my horn straps, and the OP/TECH USA Utility Loops are too thin and light. Thanks!

Answer:
Yes, the loops for the Tuba Harness are quite a bit bigger than the our OP/TECH USA Utility Loops. If you email me (at web@optechusa.com) your mailing address, I'll send you a pair.

Question:
How do I fit the harness onto a euphonium for a small sized player?

Answer:
If the distance from the top of the shoulder to the main bottom tube on the instrument is less than the specified adjustment range (Tuba Harness Junior approx. 18" - 22") there are two options. Make sure the cradle strap is adjusted as short as possible and then wrap the cradle around the two lower tubes to take up length. Both adjusters for the cradle are under the protective cover. Also the cradle ends need to be placed through the webbing slots that are closest together.
